WG got popular for their music, fantastic discography. My bet are them, NJs is the best example.
Sistar would kill it today. SNSD also has great music, basically Twice.
I don't see people liking 2NE1 or Fx, even Fx has more of a chance because now Amber, gen Z loves that kind of stuff in general.
Tara does not stand a chance. Kara maaaaaybe, because of Hara, rip visual queen.
After School has too many filler members. Orange Caramel would be decently popular in any era, they are unique.

Hopefully she will get lines in the main title track. Last time she had so many lines was Eleven
Last time shew looked objectively good was Eleven.
2+2 SIS

So funny. I am just a casual fan of RV it took me a while to become their fan, with TW and BP as the leaders; RV’s weird music and MVs didn’t help at all, it took me forever to tell them apart.
Now I love them, what a great balanced group, sometimes it is up to luck to be the number 1. Oh well.
My first member was YERI. IDK why… My favorite is Joy then Wendy -> Yeri —> Irene ——> Seulgi. The chart makes sense, Irene is a great center.

IVEA will be fine. Korea as a whole is rooting for them hence they’ll be up there in the important charts. Internationally they are well established BUT nothing near LSRFM or NJ.
I don’t think they need to prove anything, WY is very powerful, their biggest weapon.

Nmixx feels weird without her, they are already in the ugly side and poof Jinni leaves.
Jinni wasn’t even near to how popular she is not to when she was in Nmixx
She was showcased as the center in the pre debut era, but nobody cared about her since SullYoon and Lily got all the attention. I do agree though, she was not a good center there. But she more than shined in Dice.
She saw that her group was the least successful and got angry due to such bad luck, she blamed JYP for that and left to a different label, she clearly got recruited and she took the chance. She really didnt want to leave Nmixx but she had to look after her best interests.
And now that it finally looks like people will give NMIXX another chance. They will perhaps prefer Jinni’s new group [if confirmed] and let Nmixx just keep being a niche group.
Let’s see what happens, this is extremely interesting

I am an AKB48 fan. Sakura got me into K-pop
She made waaaaay more money in Japan, and I am sure she was happy and comfortable.
Internationally Lesserafim is the answer.
Solo. She can outsell anyone, maybe not WY, but it would be a tough battle.
Sakura has a HUGE LOYAL fan base, very hard to achieve.

JYPs current problem are the songs.
1. Itzy has loud music, but lacks a strong center, Ryujin is great but not for the center position, more like Ace. Yeji does a great job as ace. Lia is a joke. Chaeryoung does her least important member position justice, kinda perfect for it, she gets a lot of sympathy and the fandom loves her. Yuna is doing an amazing job as visual but she is no center.
Itzy can benefit by having better music and keep all their fans, to not lose more.
2. Twice has nothing to prove, huge and strong fan base internationally, they don’t need Korea anymore they are doing great in the west, biggest GG, sold out concerts, merch, sales. They are doing better than BlackPink except maybe in recognition.
I would love them to get hits in Melon though, but it is what it is.
I would love for them to take over Iz*one’s concept and not this boring mature one
3. Nmixx. I don’t know how to save these girls, the worst part is that I love their songs. I think the members are lacking. To ‘’save’’ them, we need a SullYoon and friends kind of situation, but that wouldn’t save the group, quite in the contrary, but it would be the best for the company.
As a JYP Stan, it is a very tough time for us.

Liking Lia over the others lmao.

Easy.
Ive has unknown members to the general public: Gaeun, Rei, Leeseo [yes, nowadays no one cares about leeseo, even Gaeul is more popular]
Yujin lives in the shadow of Wonyoung, I feel really bad for her, she never stood a chance. She keeps getting overlooked.
Wonyoung’s fake personality finally got to her and is hated by everyone, even the fans. She is popular though, no one will take that away from her, but her actions might have driven some of her fans away.
Liz does not make an effort to lose weight, hence she isn’t a visual anymore and can’t sing the chorus, that takes her to less screen time. She was my bias in Eleven, I was obsessed With her natural elegant doll-like look and that quickly faded in Love Dive when all the members showed improvement except for her and Wonyoung.
NWJNS still feels fresh, idk how to explain it, but they are special, kinda like BlackPink.
Lesserafim is extremely talented and relatable, they also have Sakura so their fan base is strong and loyal by default.
It is still too soon to say anything, I am excited for Ive’s comeback, Kakao has plenty of money so they can invest in them.
This isn’t a war , there is space for all groups.

Irene cannot be It Girl is she was shadowed by Jennie, Nayeon, Sana, Lisa, Hwasa, Somi.
3rd gen was too strong, she didn’t stand a chance, excellent center though.
Karina has everything to be THE it girl, but somehow the public didn’t react positively nor negatively, people recognize her talent and visuals but don’t go crazy over her like Yuna or Wonyoung, not even close to the amount of hype those 2 get.
I wonder why though, I like her a lot, but I just can’t go an step further to Stan her, seems like nobody cares, she lacks haters and that’s a horrible sign

The problem is that they have nugu-ish groups too.
Cube has had more successful groups than Starship but CLC and the other new group that I don’t remember the name. That made the company’s success rate go very low.
Starship only has IVE now, and monsta X to a certain extent. But Cosmic girls are just not stars [ironically] even with winning Q2. Sistar is a legend, but they’re in the powerful 2nd Gen and cannot really compete with their peers, SNSD and company.
Hard to say.

Zero charisma, her cuteness is too cringy and forced.
She was too young to debut.
