the distortion with voting is because one people has to vote for 3 groups,
SKZ is def #1, i did expect ATEEZ rank to be low since i did expect only atinys to vote for them
also now think of it i also expect only ikonics voted for ikon, most other fandoms are i think not really familiar with ikon except Love Scenario and underestimate them so
i expect tbz to be #2
i couldn't watch today since i was buzy i have to watch it later on viki

There is no way tbz came last. I'm sure of it.
I saw people assuming based on Sunwoo's reaction, but it was the same thing Mnet did in RTK all the time, just random clips of them being dissapointed, to make people assume. Mnet is a snake, but they are not that obvious, that they would show with such clip the ranking.
Also they have quite big fanbase, so i doubt they would came last.
Not to mention their performance.
Ikon was super good, i really enjoyed their performance, but i think they came last.
we'll just have to see what happens on next weeks episode

its kinda not surprising that atz are 5th since literally no other fandom except their own collectively voted for them. atinys are very efficient when angry (ex; sma voting), so i think the rank will be higher next time there's global voting.

Some of these "live legends" aren't even smart enough to re-record their as-live vocals. They lip-sync to the same recording every time.
There's one boy group I won't mention because I kind of love them, but near the end of their first live performance of one comeback there were two really heavy breaths from one of the rappers. And then it happened the next time, and the next. And he started really throwing his chest out to lip-synch the gasping...
There are plenty of compilations of the as-live vocals on YouTube, but some fanbases are pretty good at getting them yeeted.
As far as Blackpink goes, they sing live-live but over a backing track. It sounds messy sometimes. I'd rather they did the as-live thing too tbh.
by 'as-live' do you mean prerecorded vocals (vocals that were recorded beforehand, or something else?
I know exactly what you mean by the lip synch breaths but, i'm not sure which bg you're talking about tho. There's a group that i stan that has done this for almost every recent performance and it gets so annoying. If you're gonna lip synch using prerecorded a track at least be creative and record several different ones with different breathing sounds so its somewhat believable. SM especially, has been recently obsessed with using pre recorded tracks for all of their groups. Even the ones we know are capable of singing live.
Personally I enjoy live vocals with a comfortable amount of backing track. I don't mind some messiness, especially if the choreo is hard. I think the little mistakes and voice cracks are part of the reality/experience of live singing.
