I can say the same with small companies. Other than a few out standees, the others are very average/below average.
Yg had about 40 trainees at one point after 2ne1 debuted but only 4 managed to debut in blackpink after how many years?
SM also have lots of trainees but only 4-5 got to debut each time for girl groups.
with smaller companies it's easier to have a chance to debut because they can only train so many people with their budget.....of course after they debut then you can talk about privilege from a small company vs big company
Training from a smaller company is as difficult as training in a Big 3 company. The 'Big 3 Privilege' is still there during trainee days, we're talking about money and resources here. Trainees from smaller companies may not have a hard time in less competition among trainees, but they will surely have a hard time in polishing their skills because of the company's lack of money and resources. Hiring a good vocal coach and dance teacher will already cost them a lot of money. Hence why it's not easier to train and debut in a smaller company, lack of money and resources will always be their problem, which results to a lot of their groups' debut being repeatedly pushed back, or worse, they may actually never have a chance to debut.
