There is the plus girls debuting this year, who are under the creative control of Min Heejin and Bighit but managed by Source (They also say something about Min Heejin's label but idk what happened to that). These girls have been selected from the plus auditions back in 2019 with the line up fixed in 2020. They are mentioned to be a "blockbuster group". (I have absolutely no idea what they mean with that).

Then you have the suspected Izone subunit/PD48 group which is group reported by ONSEN to be debuting next year, rumoured to have 5 members most being from PD48 series. They will likely be under Source without the involvement of BH.

Iland GG, debuting next year somewhere.

Bighit has a collab with one of the members of LDH group, Exile. A very successful Japanese boygroup. They will be the one making the music for the group but the girls and management will by the LDH member.

Now I put maybe 5 because I'm not sure if that LDH group will count as their "Japanese GG" or if they are still debuting a new GG under their own Japanese label.

I think they are debuting close to 4 gg's (5?) in the next 2 years so I guess that's gonna even it out.

yeah same, Weekly actually has really good views and streams for a small agency artist, it's pretty great to see. I'm always surprised by their numbers.

Yeah Moas really upped their game this time around, the fandom grew a lot. I'm happy Freeze is getting the streams it deserves. It's a curious case that they do better on Spotify than YT, i'm guessing long mv's might be the cause of that lol. Aespa and Enhypen also are doing amazing for such a young groups.

The 4th gen groups are all doing so well, their spotify domination has grown significantly this year and I'm happy to see TXT do really well, Freeze was amazing.

I think they are for a different GG than the one debuting this year, last year Bang PD said that the line up for the upcoming GG was already fixed and in training period, all existing out of plus auditions worldwide trainees. I'm guessing this is gonna be an Izone subunit/PD48 group.

oop sorry my mistake, the "5" does not stand for May but for the member count + leader. But basically it does show that Gfriend's contract expires in 2021 and not in January of 2022 on their debut like people say. Also the contract could be earlier than oct/nov since they start the marketing campaign, recording, dancing usually after the contract is signed which does need a couple months. Tho this is speculation not 100% but could be a reason why it's in May instead.

Their contract was signed in 2014 with pre debut promo starting in October of 2014 revealing the members after that complete silence until more promo in december of 2014 and debut in 2015 of January. Kpop idols sign the group contract the moment they start the debut marketing campaign. Kpop idols have a contract for their group/as idol and as trainee. The contract isn't signed on the actual date of debut y'know.

Also I found an old time table HYBE made last year where they put the time of contract expiration for their groups. Gfriend's contract expires in 2021 and not in January of 2022.

Source is not is debt please stop spreading that misinfo, it comes from fans that can't read income and financial statements right and took reported debt financing (which is normal for subsidiaries, Pledis and Koz are in "debt" too) as an actual debt.

Anyway, I personally think that not all of the Gfriend members wanted to continue as group because they wanted to try new things since Source has been pretty restrictive (+ some of the members were having health complaints like joint problems due to their hard choreo, they mentioned wanting to lead a healthier life multiple times already) and I think instead of continuing a group with the members left or launch their solo careers, Source decided to drop them all together. Seeing that they didn't try to reunite as a group under a different label and some members aren't even idols anymore (Sowon for example), I personally think this is the most likely situation. They also did not terminate earlier like people say, Gfriend's contracts were signed in 2014 with group looking to debut on november 5, 2014 but the debut got postponed to 2015.

Whatever really happened in negotiations, we can for a fact say that Source really dropped the ball when it comes to disbanding. They really fucked that up for the fans. I hope to god they don't repeat that mistake again.
