so many times i've listened to a song and i didn't like it immediately. and not just kpop. Either i hear it again somehow or watch performances and i just end up liking the song. There's no conspiracy or deep meaning to it. Hot Sauce for example, was so jarring on first listen but it kept popping up on my fyp and it got stuck in my head i ended up singing it randomly everywhere. So i went to listen to the whole song again and i liked it. Simple

russian roulette really is THAT song. I remember looping it when it came out and it's still relevant today

While randomly watching Red Velvet's Russian Roulette on youtube , I got their songs recommended and I forgot how many songs they did and how many amazing MV's they have so let's talk about it!

Red Velvet are known for their catchy, quirky, fun and bright "Red" songs since their debut song Happiness and then they blew up with Ice Cream. Ever since 2015 they've been putting out a summer song and they might do one again this year! But they're also known for their "Velvet" side songs such as Bad Boy and Psycho.

I have the exact opposite opinion of you lol with the exception of Joy and Wendy since I haven't listened to their stuff.

Next Level and Hot Sauce are actually so on brand for SM. Next Level especially. It actually took me back to old kpop. Catchy, sing along lyrics, talking singing with a dance that's easy to follow. I can see exactly why it hit big in korea.

Shinee on the other hand I didn't enjoy as much as I thought I would.

Taemin's advice was fantastic though.

going against the grain here but yeah i think it's fine. fandoms have been doing it since always. korean charts will do what they can to counteract this but fandoms will keep doing it to show support to their favorite groups until korean fans can take over completely.

The whole performance was a homage to their journey on the show, including past performances and OT8 references (I did the counting few times and felt emotional).

Aside from Chan being the cause of the fandom's collapse today, all of them ate it!

I was worried about Felix and his few lines, but he's got his center parts just like I was supposing last week, which makes me happy!

I'm particularly proud of wild Seungmin!

The development of this man in this show was insane! It was revealing for me tbh! He's a diamond!

For sure the loud backtracking thing was annoying (the boys can do live, we know about that), but it wasn't enough to make me any less impressed by their performance. Especially considering it was live and they screamed confidence while performing, which is so important for me as a fan of performances in general.

So yeah, I'm a Wolfgang advocate from now on and JYP, please, give us a music video!

stray kids: 4.1 mil

txt: 3.7 mil

from what i've observed so far, stray kids has the bigger fandom and txt pulls in more casual listeners.

we should ask this question again at the end of the year. they both are on different paths so

So so proud of the kids wow and us stays! I'm so happy for stray kids. They worked incredibly hard and pushed through adversity with smiles on their faces. This one is for Hyunjin too. No matter how much we miss him I'm sure the kids miss him more and I'm sure they won this for him too.
