the show is about the doctor who travels through time and space with his companions. the quote is from my fave doctor - tenth doctor and his companion, rose :)like i said, it's a bit confusing :D new fans often start watching out of order, for example with 11 doctor, but i always recommend starting with 9th doctor, the first doctor from the modern era (the show started in 1963 but it went on extended hiatus in 1989)

first two seasons (9 era and 1st season of 10 doctor era) might throw you off because they look dated and special effects are debatable but trust me, the stories are great (well two from s1 and one from s2, we as a fandom pretend they don't exist lol. ). i know people who dropped it but got back into the show with 11th doctor (waaaaay better visuals) and they went back to watch first two doctors (4 seasons total). first two doctors are my fave seasons, 10 doctor and his companion donna are my faves
sadly, i dropped the show. 13th doctor, who is the first woman doctor, is terrible
showrunner is TERRIBLE, he has no idea what's he's doing. apart from ruining the show, that is. and sadly everyone blame a female doctor for that bbc hired the guy who wrote first two eras, hoping he will bring the audience back. i will certanly come back, i'm really excited!

it is very confusing, wouldn't you be confused if you missed a few season? or no? which season do you think i should watch first?
