Hate? I've seen a lot of positive responses though?

It sucks that they feel they have to address things like this. But good for them for having the freedom to do so.

I'm glad that they're speaking their thoughts, trying to give their fans strength to deal with the hate they're getting. Though its also sad that they're noticing hate comments.

When NingNing talked about it i was "oh, cool!!", but after seeing 3/4 of them speaking up it's actually sad no? Just how much hate are they getting for them to come forward and calm the fans? Wow, people are really living miserable, uh?

I'm glad they're speaking up about this,we can only hope that the hate doesn't get to them and they manage to focus on the positive.

It’s these nasty YouTube and tiktok videos people are constantly sharing it’s the same clips showing the main stage from afar away view near the ferris wheel. Now antis keep saying it was empty cause it looked small from distance or no one was supporting them even though several people that went commented it’s false and have post actual videos there. Kpop stans only want the negativity even if it’s false

aespa and mys will continue getting stronger while haters continue wasting their life

I hate to single it out, but the hates are mostly comes from 1 particular fandom. Some bad apple even go beyond and may direct message them just like Tablo. This is why you see NingNing visibly down this morning in her airport picture. Now Karina and GIselle also send similar messages on their bubble. So you could see that it's not just hate they see on message board.

SM may regret this for the headline. Sure they generate some headlines, but hates they are getting are not worth it for their artists.

I honestly feel like there is some kpop culture aspect in knetz that is genuinely toxic.

Reminds me of a 2nd gen group on tv and a mic is handed into a "fan" and the "fan" proceeds to point out one of the idols being fat ( they were pretty dang thin imo) and said their underarm fat was too much and the visceral reaction from the idol --

I see that knetz tend to argue over visuals, mannerisms, dress, etc. very surface level things that honestly contribute to a high level of objectification when tallied up in cumulation.

Just a disclaimer: I am not saying knetz all do this but I do see higher comment density with this topic in k-twit or c-twit regarding kpop.

There's something about toxic traditions in that discussion somewhere but honestly this is wearing me out.

I mean SM will always mediaplay just as any company will but it's bad when stans attack everything they do. How is it Aespa's fault when there's mediaplay?

Knowing what happened with Sulli in the end, this makes me sick. Like physically sick. I was about to go in on the guy who said, but had to hold myself back because then I would just be a hypocrite. The nerve of him. I feel sorry for whoever he married.

It's the usual culprit 'Sojang' further spreading that TikTok Live from outside the main stage and making a compilation of "mess" moments on stage. If the official stage video gets posted, no one would look at these controversial videos but it's what you see when you search aespa for now. People have been always so determined to make anything aespa-related so negative. aespa could cure global warming and they would say they want to freeze us to death.

The headline which generates most noise before their performance have triggered the majority of that particular fandom. I mean, from this forum to Twitter, the discussion was dominated by the headline. Even Tablo got extreme hate just with 1 tweet.

The reason why he was taken to the show in the first place was because he degraded everyone around him for their weight,as well as being obsessed with his own weight.

I remembered this.. And Hello Counselor is by far the most uncomfortable show I ever watched for a variety show, seeing people with mental health on that show asking idols for advice when they should be seeking professional help is just plain stupid to me..

I can never fathom how anyone thinks sending hate to people who have done absolutely nothing is okay, nor can I imagine receiving all this hate and having to keep a smile on my face no matter what. This was such a great experience for them and gave them a taste of an actual audience and different atmosphere. I was impressed with their stage and excited for their new album. I thought the message of their new song fit perfectly for them and the situation.

While I know it must have been difficult for the girls to write those messages, I’m glad they were able to express how they feel, and hopefully they are seeing the loads of support they’ve been receiving.

I edit my previous comment but if you check any comment section about aespa in regular western media it’s a cesspool of racist and Asian fetish comments so I still don’t agree

Yeah, I think most agreed they sang live well, rest were criticisms which I won't call hate.

but yea that's true there is an influx of racist comments for each major move a kpop group makes.

I'm sad that they probably saw all the hate, but they know MYs love and support them and that's all that matters. People are so freaking obsessed with this Coachella performance and if they sang live or whatever and if the crowd was dead etc etc, haters just can't keep their mouths shut it seems! blinks also!

Yea I generally use it as a misnomer -- I use inetz and knetz as fans, not just internet citizens

Yea search algorithms are quite a irritating thing tbh. I had thought once there was a stiff backlash against AleXa's debut only to find that she made it into so many positive headlines...

Poor girls. I hope they can be happy about their performance
