Locals and western stans often don’t make distinction. They see hate tweets from other fandoms and still associate with bts fans/kpop stans.

The bigger scope of things, I do hate to see such widespread stereotyping because you know half these people are talking out of their ass about people and things they don't know or are even willing to give a fair chance. So yes, seeing those type of ignorant and hateful remarks spewed for no good reason makes me sad and in that capacity I do care, but it doesn't affect ME personally.

On the internet? Could not give a rats ass whatsoever. Could even go full on racist or whatever against me and I wouldn’t care on a personal level
Irl. Depends on the person. If I think I’m friends or get along but then they turn around and say they hate me, of course that will hurt. If it’s a work colleague or customer then no, but I would be worried how it would affect me later such as complaints.
