I noticed some of the gradient that we already have, everytime I used it, it won’t show all the colors cuz I have a short name but when other users used it with longer username all the colors will show up. So yeah, the black & pink color will defer if you have a longer name.
Let me give you an example:

i think it's really pretty! you get more pink when username is longer and even in your short username colors are clear!
maybe my issue is that i don't really like black and i love pink :D Jichu wants more black lol

This is the problem we had in NeoCity too. We were going to try a horizontal gradient like the Flaming Hot AllKill gradient.

Yep. And this is Blackout background behind the username.
It'd be like my guild's pink color on the Shy AKP theme. It doesn't look that good.
If I were you, I would take a poll of which of your members uses which AKP theme. Because it would be sort of a bummer if they have to switch themes so they can see your guys' username color.
I wish I could show you an actual preview of one of your username colors with the black in it on Blackout....I think that CITY maybe can.
