i'm a 2nd gen stan but even i know that they walked so BTS could run, no matter how you look at it. they shot k-pop to ultimate popularity.

The fandom used to fight against all the pave the way BS that top fandoms used to do. They also used to hate all the elitism and achievement crap top fandoms used to do.

That was back when EXO was the top third gen group and there were still a lot of second gen elitists fans.

Fandoms in general are hypocritical it is not an ARMY thing. I'm more dissing on fandom culture in general. Second gen fans are being just as hypocritical now that they are not the top fandoms.

Anyways, I got into Kpop right after YNWA came out and before EXO The War came out. Kinda in that weird spot where EXO was the top BG but BTS was def on the comeup until they surpassed them when the DNA stuff came out.

I used to play Winners debut album and YNWA all the time in the car when I used to commute to uni, good times.

Well when your fandom kept trying to diminish the achievements of other groups like "our faves surpassed yours in sales, views, attendance, blah blah blah" you had to expect some fire back.

Nobody paved the way.

To be fair, 2nd gen did paved the way for

1) paving the way boast

2) self composing idols boast

3) no PAKs no comment boast

4) no daesang no comment boast

5) Million seller album boast
