What is a scandal most people believe an idol should be canceled for but you dont?

Currently I don’t understand the whole hate against bts within the exemption discourse

Any vices that’s not hurting anyone but themselves. What they do in their personal time is none of my business. They’re adults, ffs.

Dating. This is ridiculous. Idols are people who have lives outside the spotlight. I don’t expect them to stop living their lives to appease fans who will have a meltdown because they feel they “own” the idols they obsess admire so much.

Gambling.

This may get a lot of side-eye but paying for sex. I have no problem with CONSENTING ADULTS entering into this type of business transaction.

I feel like this might be kinda controversial but in group bullying. I mean the mild type obviously, not harsh things. Things like talking behind a member's back etc. Like it's distasteful but I don't think it's worth losing a job over. At the end of the day the only thing tying these idols together is a contract and most of members within a group would have been competing tirelessly against each other as trainees, so I think it's unrealistic to expect every idol to get along. I'd probably unstan if I found out it was happening in my favourite group but I wouldn't cancel them.

Bullying, statute of limitation of 5-10 years, depending on frequency and severity.

Unless they had done something so problematic like actual crimes, or have inflicted moderate to irreversible damages etc. (this is line limits the severity to mild only, as in rumor or being rough or rude. No outright confrontation, verbally or physically as well)

it is inconceivable (to me) that and idol who has kept clean for 5-10 years from bullying and on the straight and narrow has not in fact felt the regret and had reformed, or had changed to be a better person regardless.

Especially since bully scandals is most definitely pulling a trigger on the idol; some (" ")netz tend to mass "callout" or straight up insult the idol.

Accusation is harmful in and of itself so it has to be a real one and one that has relevance to the present. There is also a possiblity that the bullying has already been prosecuted - that a punishment had already been handed down. Round 2 is not going to set things right.

Relationship issues

Smoking weed (or doing any other drug, often these people need help not canceling)

Past mistakes that aren’t heinous crimes. Especially if they were done while they were literally kids.

Canceled over "explicit" lyrics like people need to grow up

We wouldn't get most the songs we have today without them...
