how do these companies conclude "investigations" within a few hours ?

and when has an idol bullying rumour actually been believed by kpop fans except for when there was a huge ass audio recording in the victim's hand

and what do the accusers have to gain from this?

they dont have the time and money to win a lawsuit against a giant company for sure

i dont know if this case is true or false, nor do i care much honestly but I'm not sure why kpop fans are so sure about the lives of people they personally dont know

I honestly don’t care if she did it or not.

The accusations are really ridiculous, there’s no denying that but in a regular case I really wouldn’t know if a company‘s statement was worth anything, cause you never know whether they’re lying to save the idol‘s reputation.

This does not apply to this case though.

Like how do we know if accusers are telling the truth and not bullies themselves? Too many things are sus and I wanna see more evidence. And knetz are all online bullies so I don't believe them AT ALL when they gang up on a child like this.

I think the best thing we can do is not take sides in this and let it ride out

I've always said in situations like these that it matters not what the real facts are since this is a court of public opinion where evidence be damned one way or another...

the Irene case was against an adult ( multiple adults if the rumors are true ) so they came prepared

irl i cant think of much evidence a school student, especially one that is the victim can prepare

not to mention young kids are psychologically way more vulnerable and will try to hide their pain rather than fight back like many adults will

Why have accusers lied in the past though? To ruin the career of someone they don't like, and it works like 80% of the time regardless if the accusations are true or not. And if these are high schoolers lots of them arent exactly smart enough to think about repercussions when they feel safe behind an anonymous internet mask

Anyway if a company makes a statement like HYBE did today so shortly after the accusations were made then it's foremost about damage control.
It just personally annoyed me how everyone was like "See it's all fake" even though HYBE provided nothing to debunk the accusations.

lawsuits can take many many days and losing one can cause heavy monetary losses

anyone can lie but liars will back out before they get hurt

SK's libel laws are so strict that even with proof people can be successfully sued for defamation and shut up. So I don't know why the company doesn't just do that. Also why trolls would be so invested that they would risk it.
