I love Glitch Mode but Fire Alarm is no doubt one of the most memorable b-sides and the production overall is almost title track material, I can see why they made it the first song of the album, it's maybe even more divisive than the title because of the alarm and the chanting but it's perfect for hyping you up just before the title track.

See the thing with NCT it's that there is almost never conssensus with regards to their music even within the fandom, there was a really cool reddit post about how NCT is on a difficult position music-wise because their discography is so diverse that many people who might like their strong and weird title tracks won't care about many of their b-sides for being very R&B, or how people who check their albums won't often like their title tracks because they are more on search of the full "SM's R&B" experience. They are at this awkward place where it's difficult to satisfy all people because many NCTzens' taste is pretty different from each other (and not only because they stan different units), and if that is not enough, they aspire to be different, to have an identity, a sound, something you hear and say "this is an NCT song".
So you'll have fans who love NCT's weird songs, fans who just care about their slow, almost ballad side, fans who look forward to a more generic hip/hop sound on their b-sides, fans who want the R&B h*e anthem NCT experience, fans who kinda like NCT title tracks but would prefer them to have a bigger EDM drop (something kinda like BP or SKZ)... I'm convinced that if most people who drag NCT's music heard their entire discography they would like more songs than they think, but it's a doubled edge sword... NCT can have songs that anyone can like but it will be difficult to find someone who loves all of their discography or even title tracks. Even among 127zens like myself which are the ones who like NCT's weirdness the most, you'll find many different opinions on their title tracks depending on who you ask.

I also don't care mostly about slow songs (although I often like SM's R&B approach) but NCT truly have some gems, 'No longer' is a ballad (which are far off my alley) but that song is absolutely amazing. And I could name a lot of other slow R&B songs I like from them.

Considering nctzens aren't necessarily interested in all units I don't understand why she would avoid duplicates. Now someone who might be interested in say wayv and 127 would be faced with dream content which I imagine could be annoying for them .all while the taglists that aren't for the whole of NCT are rendered obsolete?

The same 28 people (or however many) are on all three lists. There are only a few people who only want unit specific content. Everyone else indicicated they wanted to be on all the lists. So instead of three lists with the same 28 people and adding one or two more, she just made on overall list, then broke out those one or two people separately. It makes sense to me, why tag the same people with three lists when you can just tag once?
