Honestly it's difficult to say for me. Their position among the rest would completely depend on how good they could do in SK. I feel internationally they would below stray kids, txt and enhypen but bigger than ateez or the boyz. Album sales i don't know how they would progress either.
Where do you think x1 would land up in 4th gen boygroup ranking if they continued with their contract?

They would undoubtedly be #1 or #2 in terms of fandom power in Korea, one of the rare 4th gen BGs that could chart decently. They already started out strong Internationally but didn't even get the chance to develop their fandom before they disbanded. They also 100% would have been in either Road to Kingdom or Kingdom so they would have grown there too. I'd guess they would have been at the same level as TXT, Stray Kids, etc or just slightly below International-wise. Overall they would be one of the leaders of 4th Gen BGs for sure.

I think international popularity in today's standard like spending few days on Spotify global, reaching 100M on yt and spotify. That's it

Also, sales wise they definitely will win. 2019 X1 was selling better than any of the 4th Gen BG in 2020. If the general trajectory for all groups increase at the same rate X1 might be hitting 2mil

2M would be a huge lead in physical sales. X1 really is a what could have happened situation.

They would probably be #1 overall because they probably would fulfill the physicals, digitals, and touring aspect from the get go. Plus, even when they went to Thailand for KCon back in 2019, their demand in the SEA was crazy!
So definitely #1 in Korea, maybe top 5 internationally, and #1 in most success metrics, so overall, they definitely be in the top 1 discussion.

they would've dominated 4th gen both in korea and internationally since a lot of international favs got in. It was the best lineup.
