Groups where there are too many members/some members don’t get the spotlight?

I don’t know. Getting all the members to shine equally in a large group could result in there being no breakout IT member. Everyone would just be ho-hum.
Sometimes having 2 or 3 members that are very popular would carry the whole group, and would be an advantage, regardless of there being inequality in lines and such. The group gets to be talked more and be more known not just to their fans. The popular members can drag the whole group along with them in terms of visibility to the public.
Not saying it’s fair (specially to the less popular ones) - but having standout members can be an advantage.

Super Junior have always had too many imo.

They're the only groups I stan who have more than 5 members lol
And I got into them by being an akgae
I only liked one member, and eventually I started to recognize the rest too
And I though, might as well
you could have just said that in the beginning pabo!!!!
"I prefer groups with 6 or less members but the only groups I stan with more are BTS and twice"
that is a cohesive sentence!!!!

I love Loona's music but i dont engage with their fanservice enough to know the members inside and out. I do have an idea who gets shafted in terms of lines.
This is my list of favored members from the group. Who would be the eight member to join them?
Cherry
Lip
Olivia
Hyunjin for visuals, she gets lines here and there too.
7 members would work too, though

Yeah, one thing they can do to make it more even is just push the members in other areas like MV, point dance etc but this rarely happens bc as the group progresses the most popular members will be pushed since they make more money
yg is not a good example tho, they will do this regardless of their group having less than 6 members lol

I like my sentences wordy
and yes, I do have a preference for smaller groups

Watching this Ikon MV, only Bobby and BI stands out. I feel they could cut down members or find a way to make others shine more?
NCT has a lot of members and even though they don’t get equal distribution, I still feel like each get their spotlight so it’s fine.

Hyunjin is also the reason why Loona has their memey reputation -- it was basically started by her behavior as she's the best in variety. I think she probably only lacks in stage presence tbh.
But overall, I feel like BBC on purpose pushes some members of Loona down, from the start, and they're very unfair about how they go about things.

it wasn't wordy - it made no sense lol

As sad as it is to say iKon should have been a four member group.
BI and Bobby have always been the two stars of the group and everything is sorta built around them.
Jinhwan and Junhoe aren't on the same level as Double B but are still treated as essential members of the group. They get lines and an okay amount of push within the group. Both are popular within the fandom.
And the other 3... are there... somewhere in the background... sharing their 5 seconds of screentime with Bobby. They're treated as ghosts by YG most of them time.
