I always see kpop stans saying their faves are popular internationally, but in reality other than kpop stans, nobody knows your faves. Blackpink and BTS are the only groups who are actually known internationally. Being popular among kpop fans around the world DOES NOT mean your faves are known/popular internationally. Being known internationally means being known (or at least heard of) by the gp around the world or at least by young people.
All kpop stans say that about their faves it’s starting to lose its meaning and being "known" internationally is starting to seem like something easy to achieve. Also standards for being "known/popular" internationally are so low these days, a kpop album could reach 200M streams on spotify and suddenly the group and their album is loved by the whole world. Point is, your faves are not popular internationally, stop saying they are cause it’s dismissing the achievements of the two groups who are actually known internationally
