The COVID I wasn't so worried about since he was vaccinated, but then I considered that he also underwent major surgery and that could have affect things
The appendicitis was no joke as well. My sister had a pain in her side and we dismissed it at first and by the time we realized how serious it was, she was in some major pain. I thought she was dying.

It is okay to ask where he has been these past few weeks because all of this literally happened yesterday, all in one day…. which is tough.

This all happened yesterday based on the article. So he was probably still enjoying his extended break prior to this.
Hope he rests properly and doesn’t force himself to work immediately if he isn’t 100%. They need to rethink of rescheduling the March concert considering it sometimes takes a month to fully recover from an apendectomy.
