Lmao. I'm not mad, i don't attach my ego and/or personality to a Kpop group so i don't feel attack by the success of any group. I just find your behaviour very interesting. Thanks btw, your respond was very insigthful.

Oh sweety don't embarass yourself, your post prove enough why you're mad to see threads about aespa success
So yes you can crawl back to your hole and continue to cry why there's so much thread appreciating aespa success and continue to stay mad about their success in silence
anyway i'll not waste my time with a stupid troll :)

1) Vocals.
With most 4th gen groups focusing on performance and dancing ability these days, standards for 4th gen vocalists were incredibly low. Aespa were a breath of fresh air in this case, especially when all of them are great vocally.
That's why people don't mind cringy lyrics about KWANGYA because their vocals and tones make it sound good.
2) Timing
They were there at a perfect time, with ITZY not attracting enough attention in Korea these days, and GIDLE spiraling downard after their scandal, Gen Z needed a group to look up to and they fit all of that.
Older groups like MMM, TWICE, etc were also losing popularity with the public as the charts slowly started to reflect Gen Z tastes
3)
They're reminiscent of older Gen KPOP groups, while also adding a modern twist.
I've seen alot of people say their music reminds them of TVXQ. For older people or older KPOP fans, they remind them of the simpler days, while for younger fans they're something new.
And I think Dreams Come True is the perfect example of this. They took a song that was popular in the 90s, and remodeled it for the new generation.

Well, can't speak for others but for me it was the concept. The extremely futuristic video game like teasers at the start got my attention. I started stanning when they released that lore video that was like 10 minutes long or something, I thought they were going to really get into VR and I thought timing was perfect for the pandemic since people can't go out.
I'll be honest tho, I'm not a fan of the recent releases in music except DCT. I wish they had explored more on the VR concept and release an episode 2 for the lore. -

and 2022 will go more full on the concept
especially considering that Aespa next comeback will mark a new chapter in their lore
+ the girls already filmed Ep 2, so we might get it for the next comeback who might come in 2 or 3 months

SME have a lot of power.... I mean, how many of their groups have not been popular? It's a lot of hype, just like how it was with Blackpink, ITZY and other groups from the big companies. I'm not that impressed by the group or songs yet, even if I like their style and their songs Next Level and Black Mamba, but it's no super hits. Ningning is for sure a one of my favorite visuals in kpop right now.
