I meant the singer, like there was a phase on Korean variety shows where they constantly go the gang challenge thing. They are also always hyping him up to be some megastar. But yea his impact ww might be a bit dubious at least currently. Not sure if the past

He is from generation 1 . he had some succes around asia. but you know at that time kpop wasnt that big internationally. he is also very famous as entertainer, actor and so on but that is also more the case for korea. i think some of his movies also got popular in china or asia but worldwide is something else.
