K-charts have always been heavily skewed towards bigger genres, though. Two idol groups being there is fine. If you slice off based on genres, there are 3 k-pop (BTS, IU, Aespa), 2 acoustics, 1 trot, and the rest are hiphop/rnb

what happened was HYBE bought Ithaca holdings which is the company that owns Justin Bieber's Management label (Scooter Braun's projects) and Big Machine Label Group.

BTS's Korean record label buys Justin Bieber management company

Once again its their management company, they dont hold the rights to the music. Def jam, and by extension of ownership, universal music group does. In the context of the thread thats basically about music and sales one would normally tally it towards the label actually releasing the music, as hybe/itacha have nothing to do with that part in this case.

So to break it down to people misunderstanding, JB is signed to a record label and a management company independently unlike kpop which is just one company doing everything.

Ithaca holdings is under Hybe( the bigger company)now. And this is what the management company usually do for their artistes
