I understand Blinks' sadness but I am bit tired to see Kpop fans criticizing Korea's taste, their ballad and their trot singers that they find boring. I am saying that generally. Your faves don't have to win everything, every time.

I listened to it and it's ok for me. Can it be that the fandom totally vibes with it but GP doesn't?

Rose had a similar situation. There was brave girls Rollin and iu celebrity charting when she did solo debute.

But rose fans did not go attack mode. It was the opposite and they congratulated brave girls.

Rose has charted far better though, after 6 months she is still ahead of Lisa'a 1sr week on Gaon Digital. And even with Celebrity/Rollin, she got to top 5(?).

But it is rash to allege xenophobia of Koreans, just because Lisa has not done great. Such allegations need a strong statistical pattern. Justin Beiber is charting well, is it "white privilege"? ..

In any case, by itself this is not enough to accuse Korean GP of prejudice. It could be as simple as that the GP weren't impressed by the song.

Then maybe they are not as invested in individual members, as they are invested in the group,

And then maybe Lisa is not as popular with GP as is Rose/Jennie.

And then finally maybe Lisa is not popular because she is not a native Korean.

you are right. rose did do better. i think it was even top3. I just wanted to say that blinks impressed me a lot at that time with being nice. and actions like this agains lee mujins mv do quite the opposite to me.

and promotion is very important to get attention from gp.

Why r ppl comparing jb to Lisa? Jb is a white dude who Koreans love. Even a weed song is fine from him. SEA ppl aren't adored by koreans.

People r really overblowing this music show thing. Most stans on akp aren't even making a fuss about her losing or charting. It's mostly lack of promo that's getting the fandom mad.
