I LOVE my top 10 girl groups of all time list. I mean I REALLY love it. I post it any chance I get cause it makes me feel so superior to everyone else minus 2 or 3 other users.
But that isn't what this thread is about. Its about those handful of groups who although may never end up winning the Drew B Super Bowl of girl groups they still hold a special place in my heart. These groups at one point in time were pretty significant for me.
No order damnit!

Yo! Straight up. OEC was the mother fucking SHIT! I had no idea who or where they came from at the time and I was so taken by them that I remember proudly proclaiming they were my next f(x). 'Sweet Crazy Love' was my song of the year. I was so ready to becoming a slave to these girls. But then...someone told me they were a temporary sub unit. I was so upset I called my Mom and told her to cancel Christmas cause I wasnt going. Yes I know now all about Loona but at the time I wasn't paying attention to it so I had no idea. If this was a legit group who stayed around they would be in my top 5.

'A Girl Like Me' to this day goes harder than any girl group song I've heard in the last 3 years. It's one of the best examples of girl group perfection in every category available. It's like the "cute version" of AOA's 'Heart Attack'. Another song I have listed as the pinnacle of girl groups. I didn't watch Produce 101 so this was my first introduction to one of the CUTEST GIRLS EVER! Yes Kang Mina had me wrapped around her finger just like every other guy in Korea. She's...she's fucking next level. But once my other favorite member left the group early it was easy to see this ride wasn't going to last for the long run. At least they went out with a bang. 'Not My Type' is definitely my type of jam.

Limesoda
A few years ago I waged a war on allkpop in trying to promote this song. There's nothing left for me to say. So I'm just gonna post the song. It's all the explanation you need. Oh you also need the info that Hyerim is my wife.

Busters
I made a thread about them yesterday covering how I fell in love with this group with their single 'Pinky Promise'. For a good 3 or 4 months they were my favorite current group at the time. That alone should tell you their impact on me. They are the only group on this list that I actually bought a physical album of. 2 physical albums actually! But of course this love didn't last long because they were so nugu it was just a matter of time before it all fell apart. Sure enough Minju left, then Hyeongseo left, then Chaeyeon went on hiatus never to return and so on and so on.

Saturday
Saturday!!!! The group I nominated as my next gen Crayon Pop because their music was so quirky and so catchy. How could someone not love 'Bbyong'? That was an anthem! Everyone of their singles is a fucking bop. The lineup you see in the image above is by far the best and maybe my favorite lineup of any 3rd gen girl group. All the girls mesh perfectly. Juyeon especially was a standout as the new edition to the group. Find me dead whenever she wears a ponytail. Saturday is da fucking bomb.
