(G)I-DLE should change their name

I think it's unique.

It's just a name why it is important what their name is as long they are successful

It should just be Idle

All super successful groups start with the letter B - BTS, Beatles, BB, BP, Bee Gees. The only answer is add the letter B in front and get rid of the hyphen like this;

Bgidle

OR

Bidle

No they don't need to change name, its perfectly fine.

Lol it isn't like people will say, they have brackets in their name so i won't stan them or listen to their music.

People stan group for music and personality so if someone likes (g)i-dle then they will stan anyways, its doesn't matter if they have brackets in name or not. Removing brackets will hardly have any effect on popularity.

I can agree their name is too convoluted for their own sake. But it's too late already. They're a 3 year old group, they not gonna change their name now. Truth is, whatever you type in search engine, you'll find them alright. The only flaw that really comes with their name is for text voting during TV shows; they always lose some votes because people don't spell their name right. Even the broadcast team can't spell it right sometimes.

The brackets are for styling. Everyone calls them gidle or idle anyway.

At least its better than X Æ A-XII.

Let just get rid of the hyphens and parentheses: Gidle. Pls make it simple...

'GIDLE' won't be good enough because the 'g' is supposed to be silent. And even though pronouncing it is ok, it's not supposed to be pronounced like one word (neither 'jaidle' nor 'gaidle').

'IDLE' won't be great either because it's an actual pejorative word in English.

In both cases, it sucks.

So, unless they change it for something completely different (which won't happen obviously), (G)I-DLE is probably the best they can go with.

I pronounce G I-DLE. Only when they talk in Korean the members refer to themselves as IDLE. We know Soyeon is not a fan of the (G) and would have dropped it if able. But everytime they introduce themselves in English, they pronounce the (G).

The parenthesis totally fuck up search engine results. It's surprising to me they made that name official when taking SEO into account. I'm not sure they can remedy the issue because search results will be fragmented.
