I can't tell whose music will be more 'cherished'... not yet anyway. Music is always evolving and it's hard to tell what everyone will be loving next

I don't know, but Blackpink have pretty insane longevity. Even debut song like Boombayah still gain almost 700k daily views after 5 years.

BTS's debut was more than 8 years ago but their debut album still sounds great to this day. I think BTS will be fine.

IMO they have a very different sound and vibe than Blackpink. That not mean it is bad thing. Every group have different flavor.

tbh both of their debut music already sound dated. this isn't a bad thing just a fact. BTS's spring day will never sound old tho.

I don't really get this "aged badly". If you don't like a song after a while it simply means your music taste changed. Not that a song is bad.

As musicians age, grow and experiment and experience new things, those influences are going to play a large part in what they produce. Meet the Beatles has certainly aged when listening to say Sgt Pepper or the White Album. Certainly MOTS7 is more experimental with sound and arrangements than say Skool Luv Affair.

But I love going back and listening to the journey of my favorite groups and I assume Blinks and Army are the same. So no neither’ s music sounds dated to me

Blackpinks older music will stay gold forever, BTS's as well. Both of their newer songs will age badly. That's just my opinion, people will be listening to boombayah, playing with fire, as if it's your last, more than lovesick girls and how you like that which paled in comparison to their older releases. People will listen to Fake Love, Blood Sweat and Tears, Save Me, Run, and not Dynamite, Permisson to dance, or butter as those pretty much didn't have a huge impact musically, yes it's popular but what new did it bring to the table. Random Happy song about dancing compared to Spring day or Run. I also think their newer albums like The Album and BE will have the same fate, more people will listen to older albums and b-sides than newer. YG's music never ages well if your being honest, 2ne1's music sounds like it's forever stuck in 2010, no longevity at all and their autotune 2010 style gets old as you listen to more of their tracks. For BTS, it's quite obvious that their new style of music isn't really anything to remember or go crazy about musically. It's basic pop music that I'll forget about.

I feel like your cherry picking a few 2NE1 songs and saying stuck in 2010 and their songs did have longevity and they still remain one of the only female groups where the b sides sold loads.

If your being honest you would actually be unbiased and say sure the autotune ones wont age well but everything else will.

For Big Bang literally everything aged well apart from stuff like FB and heavy electronic pop songs.

I think bp's music is and will continue aging just fine, there is a reason songs like forever young, d4 & as if it's your last continue charting in korea. And I don't need to mention their global longevity. I'm sure the same can be said about bts, especially considering their discography is even larger

I think it depends on the song.

Bts's old material is great! Run and butterfly has not aged a bit for me, same with Blood sweat and tears and I need u.

But songs like Permission to dance... I have a feeling it doesn't have longevity.

Lovesick girls, playing with fire and stay I have feeling will stick around, I don't think Ice cream and how you like that will age well though.

So it really depends on the song.
