Many Koreans have praised her songwriting, she's the ideal beauty standard and girl-next-door, and she's talented.
Also she's a really nice person, it's impossible to dislike her. She donated so much last year to several charities and causes which is what makes people respect her more.
tbh she's similar to Taylor Swift in the sense that both have grew up in the public's eye, both have been praised for their songwriting/nice personality and both have had a girl-next-door image(at least until Reputation for Taylor) that they have maintained through the years.

She is popular among the grownups so they don't really point out mistakes or they don't care about small scandals like teenagers do lol. In my view, we can't say that dating or her role in my mister could be called scandals.

She is very "likeable" and her music is typical "radio music", songs that suits to play in radio and the general public can like, young to old. Also, a lot of artist when they have reached a high status and popularity just need to go with the flow to continue to be popular, a bit like Taylor Swift even if their music mayb are not that amazing compared to others, it just need to be good quality with one really good song now and then.
