Holy cow. It is an expensive album too with DVD options. So mindblowing that they are beating BoA's record. Journey was close but still fell short.

IFPI pretty much secured since they weigh up Japanese albums.

Overall I believe may be Mariah Carey or one of the oldies female singers or even MJ. It is between these groups of musicians and this is for international acts

I'm kinda excited how well BTS' concerts will perform once touring starts. Are there bigger venues than the venues BTS have performed in when they last toured?

They have been doing wonders in Japan these past years and they can't stop growing!

I guess we can take this number as pre-orders. BTS albums always sell well even after the release and I haven't bought it yet.

But from now onwards BTS will have to give Japan a separate leg during tours. They had booked 12 shows (6 of them only in Osaka) of 600k total seats for MOTS tour. I guess they can easily sell atleast 1m tickets in Japan alone looking at the numbers they're doing there.

I think this type of Album are pretty normal for a Japanese release. Afaik, other big Kpop artist like TVXQ, SNSD, Bigbang, release their "Best of" album as well in Japan. So I think it's quiet the norm actually.
