Aespa's "next level"; Red velvet's zimzalabim and really bad boy. Or do you think they really believed these songs will be a hit with the public? Or why did they release these songs?
Does SM intentionally makes public unfriendly songs?

Well Next Level is a hit in Korea for sure.........................

Really Bad Boy is freakin great. I don't understand why people find it so hard to enjoy, it's pretty straightforward.

Some fandom based songs got public attention although that's probably not the same as public friendly.
-
There is no definition for public friendly. Usually it means traditionally light pop or pop ballads. But why will any group do that one genre alone lol.
Pop songs have more of a chance to become a hit because by its very definition thats what it is - POP MUSIC.
How sad will the world be if only one type of music existed.

I think that’s kpop in general, this trend of music hasn’t been doing well for the past few years, at least the k-public. Something is off...
This is all my opinion from my observations. Don’t attack me.
-
I think they like to experiment, they don't necessarily go with the trend.

Next Level is slaying tho

I wouldn't put "RBB" in the category with the others because the bridge is the dopest part of the song.
Their vocal melodies are decent. When it comes to the melodies in the production, a lot of the songs coming out of SM either feels "off from the bullseye" when it comes to the groove or emotionally detached when it comes to connecting on a heart level.
There are exceptions, like SHINee's "Kind" and Wendy's "Best Friend". It just makes me wonder about the overall quality control and finding the "cracks" in it for each team.

Public friendly = korean gp likes it. If int’l fans don’t, that doesnt make it not public friendly.
If they’re a hit in korean GP, then it’s public friendly lol. That’s the only metric there is.

has everyone streamed next level today?
