honestly, i haven’t really enjoyed her music since snapping. which is a shame because she was really on a roll there for awhile releasing great music. seems like korea kind of feels the same. hopefully her album is good.

If you actually look on Melon and Gaon over the last 3-4 weeks the charts have technically been the emptiest in the history of either platform, meaning never has their been an easier/emptier time to climb the charts.

The fact that Chungha couldn't even make an impact on Genie(a chart that is the most welcoming to new songs) tells me it's the song not Chungha. After all on D1 it climbed up to number 2 or 3 against Epik High but fell rapidly so I think it's more about the song than her.

Gotta Go, Snapping and even Chica are massively better than any song she released since 2020

The approach to the music on the track isn't in the pocket and needs tweaks.

That whole pre-release thing was so stupid

X isn't that interesting, unfortunately, and Chungha's release schedule with a bunch of OK but not very memorable songs was a hype killer. Releasing an underwhelming single is worse than releasing nothing.

This is an example of why Teddy's strategy of releasing a smaller number of better quality and better promoted songs is usually the better option.
