There's a lot of Western artists who don't have very good vocals.

I do agree that a lot of performances are enhanced or autotuned in a way however.

Wendy, Jihyo, Park Bom, Jessica, Seulgi all say hi.

And are you really gonna use Ariana Grande of all people? Wendy can out sing that wannabe any day of the week.

I've never claimed that kpop idols don't use autotune or are the best singers but they actually have to be good at signing to some point because they actually have to train and work hard

Even if they aren't the most amazing singers ever, or if they use autotune or lip sync, you can't fake dancing and unfortunately, most American artists can't dance, sing or lip sync well

I stand firm in that most kpop vocals are at least equal or better than most American pop vocals

Bom is a more stylistic singer, so while she is very good, she has a range she is comfortable with, and anything else outside of it will cause her voice to suffer. That's not a bad thing, she knows how to work her voice in a way it shines and she was a big part of 2ne1's sound. I would put Ariana however, above her. I was a 2ne1 fan.
