Honestly I don't know, JYP is a bad company but then again Twice has reached a huge level of popularity and there is a chance they might resign their contracts. But then again JYP being a bad company and overworking them to the point some of them actually had to take a break. It honestly depends on the members.

jeongyeon said in the past she'll leave acting up to her sister (even though she has the perfect face for it) but unless she has a change in heart

It’s too early to know anything for sure. The contract isn’t done until October of next year. I’m sure we’ll hear more next year.
Also it’s so much better to use the term “renew” instead of “resign”. It gets around the problem of resign meaning to leave a position versus re-sign, meaning to sign again.

I used to think that not giving them solo projects or subunits was their way of preventing Twice from disbanding...

As it seems Jeongyeon physical condition is much worse that we were told. She still can't dance. And even before that she looked to me like someone who is over with the idol life.
Mina's condition isn't something you can cure and leave behind. It's something you learn to live with and there's always the chance of it relapsing so she may leave the group too.
Tzuyu is 90% out too. Her parents want her out and the company is treating her like a side character more and more which is kind of pointing that they expect her to leave. The only thing that can keep her in this company is the other members.

Mina is more talkative and energetic than ever nowadays, I know such things can come and go but I don't think she would leave. She seems enthusiastic to work with Twice.
Jeongyeon 's physical injury still seems to be very serious but I don't think she would leave either because she said many times that she wants to stay and isn't interested in doing anthing else.
The only member I could see leaving is Tzuyu, because she gets mistreated a lot and can't see her family at all, can't even promote in her country. I hope she stays but I wouldn't judge her if she didn't tbh. Like another user said the only thing that can keep her in this company is the other members.

Can't predict for Jeongyeon... her injury was the factor leading to her anxiety and as much as she wants to stay it will depend on that...
Lastly, I can't see Tzuyu go back to Taiwan and have a career there, neither going solo in Korea for now. And I think she enjoys being in Twice a lot

I really don't mind waiting for Jeongyeon as soon as she needs and I'm sure she doesn't want to leave bc she has always said that. Plus the bond she has with the other members is in another level imo
I agree Tzuyu seems to enjoy being in Twice and also has a strong bond with the members, when I said she's the only member I can see leaving I meant as a 5% chance

I'm conflicted about Twice.
A while ago, i was raging mad at JYP for not giving them solo or subunit or other opportunities. I thought he was holding them back for selfish reasons.
But now i wonder if the members truly WANT to do these things right now? It's unclear to me. There is a possibility that they are all content with their current lifestyle and career. They're not being driven like pack mules anymore, they have long breaks between comebacks. They're still popular, selling 500k per album. And it's also possible that they were all burned out and exhausted in 2019-2020 after what JYP did to them. Maybe they're ok with this long period of relative rest, no concerts, no tours, no doing tours while preparing for a comeback at the same time like that asshole made them do in 2018.
Maybe they're not mentally ready to take on the pressures of a solo debut or a bigtime MC or variety show gig or a movie role.
So i'm no longer sure whether their lack of solo activities will be a factor in whether they renew or not. I've always thought that Jeong and Chae were the two most likely to leave JYP but not because of solo activities (Jeong because she was exhausted with idol life even before her injury, and Chae because of her resentment towards JYP's controlling nature and her desire to express herself fully).

One more thing about Tzuyu specifically. I think she's looked happier in the past year than she's ever been. There was a Vlive awhile back where she got a call/text from someone, but the way the other members reacted so strongly to it, it almost seemed like it was a BF. I have a gut feeling she has someone very special to her. This could impact her decision both positively and negatively (she may want the freedom to date openly vs she is in love and happy to remain in Korea).

But the fact is that, the members will to go solo/acting, Chae "resentment", Jeongyeon's feelings.. are imagined by fans (and perhaps even more by non-fans). The girls never stated such things, so the speculations are made over speculations
