concert tickets and physical albums bring in huge amounts of money. There's not much difference between BGs and GGs when it comes to concert ticket sales, but BGs trump for physical album sales.

Girl groups don't have good touring power unless they are at the level of Blackpink or twice.

If kpop wants gg's to make as much money, they need to change the kind of girl grups they make and make them more appealing to women. Theres nothing to stop women from selling millions of albums or stadium tours (look at Taylor, Adele etc).

Boy groups. Outside of SNSD no girl group has ever had a big touring power.

There is no competition to BTS when it comes to touring. Even big western artists fail there. TVXQ were huge at their peak in Japan. Even to this day TVXQ's touring brought the most money to SM, yes even at the height of EXO's fame. Big Bang toured big in korea and japan and G-Dragon was one of the very few kpop artists who played 10K+ capacity in the north america. Super Junior's tours make more money than SM's younger groups do.

In girl groups, only SNSD's name comes forward in touring power.

Bg for sure

boygroups, they don't necessarily have more fans, but they generally have more dedicated fans when it comes to album sales, streaming, fan merchandise and so on
