Notice how it often works, an idol postso or saying something vague about being hurt, misunderstood or going through a lot. No names, no details. Then the fandom immediately goes into defense mode...attacking staff, companies, other idols or groups and even random people. The idol later acts surprised or says nothing, because technically they never told anyone to do anything. Their fans' action is not their responsibility.
Yet, people forget idols are trained in media communication and image control. They’re taught what to say, when to say it, and how to say it. They know they don’t need to tell fans to attack, they just imply they're hurting and let the fans do the rest.
The convenient part is that idols get plausible deniability. Fans go on attack sprees 'on their own' and the idol still looks innocent. But if you keep hitting the same emotional buttons and the same reaction happens every time, it's just obvious.
The companies obv the one that teach this. They train these idols what kind of emotional cues get reactions from fans. What anger the fans and what push the fanbase to be so defensive. Either way, acting like it’s all just innocent self expression ignores how predictable and profitable this whole cycle really is. It’s encouraged because it works, keeps fans obsessive and drives profit.
