@Mods remove this post. I don't want any BG in my thread
gnarly
When Jump is being put "against" all tts that others ggs are releasing this year makes me believe the answer is Jump...

Day6 is the biggest GG in Korea
Wdym I SAID BP has a big fanbase but longevity can’t be fandom driven, JUMP is doing great on Spotify, YouTube and Apple Music meanwhile Gabriela is only doing better on Spotify.

i know this but my point stands. longevity can be fandom driven...
But this is a cop out response lol.
And doesn’t mean anything at all. Then basically NO comeback of theirs will ever compete with any other group’s because they have one of the biggest fandoms 😭
There is no way to quantify x amount is fan x amount is GP etc etc so I always find it super stupid when kpop fans use this terminology.

my point
is that longevity is fandom-driven
if bp consistently depended on the gp with each comeback, do you think their success would be this great?

No offense but you are making 0 sense bc longevity has much more to do with actually the mix of "gp" + fandom instead of just fandom bc by this logic ALL top groups should've this same longevity, but the only ones who actually has longevity ww in several charts and eras are BTS - a league on their own - and BP that ironically enough are more known by the no kpop sphere and have even non fans tuning in.
Do you know what fandom can do? Give you 1, 2 weeks on charts and that's it and this is what happens 98% in kpop. BP doesn't have the biggest fandom, we have how many bgs selling more than them?? 3, 4? And they don't have this longevity.
If Spotify or any other chart was soooo fandom driven this much I assure you the top kpop groups would last more than some days or weeks there while their tours are like +500k people, +1M sales and so many viral moments.
So no, BP longevity isn't thanks to their fandom only, we have top groups who are relying solely on their fandom and the difference is huge in results.

i read nothing more than the last sentence. never in my posts did i state longevity depends solely on fandom.
read it again, then quote me with wtv rant you would like.
What rant? You can't talk?
We are talking about a song longevity, a song won't stay for months on charts just bc of the fandom. It's non sense to say this.
I think Gabriela.
Most of Jump's success is driven by the fandom but Gabriela has more reach among the GP.
well it has more push so
.
lolla, vma etc...
More like you can't read.
if your logic is that performing a song = "push" then you are most definitely contradicting yourself.
performing at the lolla does get you a push amongst the gp because there are people at festivals that aren't only there for you. morover yes the vma push can be pretty big as many people (specially in usa) watched that show.
(push/promo)
for example it greatly boosed lady gaga's last single dead danc on the charts.
btw lady gaga's getting some insane promo this year! from the grammys to chella, to copacabana, to wednesday and now the vma's... it's pretty insane!

performing a song in front of thousands of people in 8 different countries (EACH) is also pretty massive push

yes but it was their fandom mostly. gp promo has been ZERO for jump.

..and?
..and?
and despite it, they are doing amazing on the global charts.
JUMP is bigger overall. But to be honest, it's not the hit people here claim it to be.
data, metrics, criteria, weighting...blah blah blah
Hmmm.. is this thread not hitting the way its supposed to cuz there are no Katseye fans here
Imo, Gabriela is bigger. And Katseye are just everywhere. Jump obviously charted in more countries because its a BP release, in three years and their fandom is huge but Gabriela seems to be bigger among non-fans tbh.
