What's your opinion on AESPA as a group an individually?

I didn't really find their music interesting until they released spicy. Then I've started keeping up with their releases. I'm not a variety person but a music + performance person. I have no interest in watching their performances. That's where their biggest weakness lies for me.

Crazy title track run. Some good b-sides here and there. I love their overall sound and aesthetic, and I think their voices compliment the types of songs they do (especially Winter's).

I mostly just care about the music. I can watch a performance once in a while but it's rare. I never watch variety shows, interviews etc, but this goes for all groups for me except 1.

They are great as a group, they are great individually.

Wholesome, funny, well rounded, hard working, what's not to like.

they became my favorite GG circa the black mamba release and have stayed that way eversince.

Personally nothing about them interests me offscreen or musically.

really impressive discography though discrepancy in quality between title tracks and b-sides is above the average in kpop (meaning their title tracks and promoted songs, which are incredibly good, are vastly superior to the rest of their music)

Ningning is a genious pop star in every possible way! And she is absolutely GORGEOUS. On top of being a CRACKHEAD ! I think she has an outstanding future as a celebrity, specially in China.

Winter is absolutely ADORABLE and has the prettiest voice in the industry right now! I'm so exited also about her solo career as a singer.

Karina is cool and beautiful, well rounded talent vise and very down to earth which is really nice honestly. My only critic is that sometimes she feels too restrained or a bit robotic/ai, sometimes she lacks a bit in terms of stage presence/charisma. She did improve tho specially since Drama.

Also i don't like it how sm does her make up, i wish they capitalized on her unique visuals more rather than trying to mold her into a standart beauty. Like make her snake/cat like facial features stand out more or smth. Keep it more NATURAL. I liked her predebut make up more.

Giselle is a bit inconsistant for me, maybe it's a question of moods and confidence, but when she fully embraces her core self, she gets very cunty and pretty badass. She is also an all rounder and has improved alot since supernova/whiplash. In terms of dancing specially but also rapping.

Still sometimes she can feel a bit lackluster, that's why bright hair color suit her alot. It puts more light on her face. But overall she is a sweetheart and a thoughtful, deep minded person.

Overall, aespa is an extremely talented and very kind hearted group for me. They also give off some savage/blunt vibes too which i find very fun. And I really love the humour of the magnae line. Both are crackheads actually .

Musically they have some of the best bangers and rnb songs in the industry. Their music has been a hit or a miss tho, like a yoyo effect. I didn't enjoy most of their songs specially tts until Supernova. So much so that, Supernova felt like a redebut for me. A renaissance. But since then, they have been delivering absolute BOMBS. Like EVERY SINGLE TIME! Yes even Dirty Work!

I'm so exited for their future. At least another 5 years of bangers to come. Their concept/lore is very unique and incredible, there is so much you can do with it!

If I had to give aespa a score on 10. Id give them an 8/8,5 overall. Which is pretty great. Of course, in many cases like vocals, production, etc they are absolue 10s. Their music went through too much yoyos tho for me to give them an higher score.

I'm a fan

I like some of their music but then again I can listen to music from any artist whether I'm a fan or not so generally it's something beyond just the music for me

I like their personalities (or at least what we see of it on camera)

NN is my fav since I have a soft spot for Chinese idols but she seems weird which is cool

Love their music (especially My World album), love their music videos (especially Armageddon). But I never seem to consider them one of my “top groups” for some reason.

I’m in the minority who thought Dirty Work was awesome.

I think Winter is one of the most stylish idols around, love her fashion and aesthetics.

I’m a fan of Karina too. I watched that show with Karina and Hyeri where they had to stop the religious sect summoning a demon one episode and then were on a submarine and had to escape the monster on the other - that was pretty fun. I would be keen for her to do more variety in future.

No. She looks uncanny since her weight loss as well for me personally. They all do. I mean ofc that’s just my personal preference in idol visuals.

And I haven’t come across any tiktoks of theirs that made their personalities appeal to me either.

Music wise they’re definitely not my cup of tea.

Next Level and Supernova are literally 11 out of 10s for me. Next Level ended 3rd gen and Super was one of the top 5 songs of 2024. Their other singles range from decent to one of the worst Kpop songs ever (Dirrrty Work).

I also stan Karina. Even without her obvious visuals, the girl is still an amazing idol - she has a hilarious onscreen personality, a very charismatic speaking and singing tone, she and Wonyoung truly are the Fourth Gen It Girls.

Problem with Aespa is that she's the only one that has any charisma and can perform onstage. She steals every performance, every variety show, every headline and photo op. You could put her in with LSRFM, Itzy, NMIXX and the other top tier performers and she would fit right in. The others? Not so much. They are completely overshadowed by Karina.

Also i have major problems with their fanbase on TW. Absolutely disgusting tbh. It makes it really hard to stan Aespa as a whole.

Individually each of them is strong, strongest in 4th gen. I think this is why their solo fandoms fight a lot
