What 3rd generation idols/groups do you think will remain relevant in the upcoming years?

I don't think anyone will be that relavant in a 5-10 years span. You don't really see much of the Twice girls for example, you of cource have the BP girls. but...... I don't really see what they should provide outside of their group's music that will keep them in the spotlight five years from now.

It depends on what exactly 'being relevant' means.

Internationally, BTS and BP will be relevant for a long time due to the amount of followers they have.

Now, if you talk specifically about the Korean charts, I see Jennie, Rosé and Jungkook with more possibilities of remaining at the top due to the performance of their solo songs.

it depends on if they want to remain in kpop

groups like twice/RV will be what 15 years post debut???

(also just learned the news that Yeri/Wendy are leaving SM although not RV)

some of them might want to do something different than being and idol

In 2024 they had an estimated 580k attendance for the end of their RTB World Tour and hints from members is that they will have an even bigger 5th World Tour.

They are currently at the level of Dome, Arena and Stadium crowds while their Subunit MiSaMo has done 6 Dome Venue Concerts.

With their appearance at Lollapalooza aiding in the fast selling of the 4 Day tickets as well as the Saturday GA and VIP sell out, TWICE will be the first Kpop GG to headline the Event.

I hear that their Contracts will expire in 2026, that's if they renewed them for 2 more years in 2024 but JYPE will be eager to renew them, it's just up to the members.

JYPE are likely to continue their Korean and Japan annual comebacks so I can still see the group together in 2028 especially as the market in America continues to grow.

Beyond TWICE, Jihyo, Nayeon, Tzuyu, MiSaMo and Chaeyoung (debut pending) will continue in music, Dahyun will be involved in Acting while Jeongyeon seems happy to do what she's doing having no current plans to be a Soloist.

TWICE and it's members are very active, JYPE plans to keep it that way for as long as they manage the group and their members, so beyond 2030 is probable.

TWICE will open for Coldplay's 6 Korean Concerts in the coming weeks, word has it that they will have an hour Setlist.

My faves I hope

BTS are all financially minded enough to know they have to remain as a group even whilst pursuing solo careers to maximize their income. My boys get that bread.

and as a group? blackpink literally the last defending line for 3rd gen GG nowadays. 4th gen GG fans would already laugh at 3rd gen GG fans if not for blackpink holding it for em.

Seulgi and irene will be there coz sm will push 2 of em now, just like taeyeon and yoona for snsd.

For twice, well goodluck . JYP will make sure they have have "you can't do anything without us" card .

BTS, Blackpink, Twice if they want it.

All have enough fans to keep going.

Mamamoo would too, but I don't get the sense they want it as a group anymore.
