Which YG gg is the most talented? 2ne1 vs BP vs BM
-
-
I'm serious and vocal wise the others don't even come close
dance wise too bc BP was basically Lisa with sometimes Rosé and Jennie, 2ne1 Minzy with sometimes CL while in baemon all give pretty much the same energy. Rap is 2ne1 then BP then Baemon to me, but overall Baemon talent wise is better and way better shown in their music, covers, etc.Babymon, obviously, but only because they have 7 members, and they're more balanced than the rest. To be fair, if we make a group with the least talented BM members, I still think they would win!
The 2nd one is obviously 2NE1. Vocal wise, they're not strong, but better than BP overall.
BP only have a decent but underdeveloped Rose and Jennie and that's all, basically.
Sorry for bumping but you 2 must not be serious here.
2NE1's vocal is superior compared to BM. Minzy is by far the best female vocalist from YG (not counting Big Mama). BM's best vocalist Rami is still below debut Park Bom, while some from their vocal line are same level as CL.

If BM has 5 then 2NE1 has 3. CL is not worse than the weakest of BM's vocal line. So 3/4 = 75% vs 5/7 = 70%.
2NE1 has higher absolute ratio but I'll give it to BM because it's harder for large groups to maintain high ratio of vocalists.
Overall the top 1-2 are more important than the ratio. They are the ones with most of lines after all. It's better to have 2 7/10 and the 3/10 for the rest than all of them are 5/10.
It's sad that people underestimate 2ne1 vocals because they don't have a lot of high notes yelling.

It's not sad, it's personal taste.

black pink in yo area uh!

No offense Vinslow4, but when we have an agreement with Mona, that means what we're saying is usually a fact, because we rarely agree on things. 🤣
I'm a 10 times bigger 2NE1 fan than Babymon, but even if we only count the 4 best of BM, 2NE1 is not even close in any way. Not singing, not rap or dance. YG never had an all-rounder group like them before.
Even if you combine 2NE1 and Blackpink, that's 8 members, Babymon could outdo them still. Again, I say this as a hardcore Blackjack!

Vocal skills are not only about high notes, I don't think any of us mentioned that. We're talking about overall talent. No 2NE1 or BP member ever had a vocal range that BM members have.

Really? Name more than 5 groups that can do singing, rap, and dancing on an average level at least!
Pretty much, the whole Idol industry was built on one simple thing: you need multiple members, because 1 member can cover up the mistakes or the lack of skills of the others.
Only clueless and delusional fans think Idols can do everything. People call their faves ACEs or All-rounders, but they have zero idea what that actually means. I don't think I could name more than 10 Idols, not group, whom are actual ACEs or true all-rounders.
Aside from moonbyul and yeonjun who are the other 8.
Edit I really don't even like considering rap as a criteria. Good rappers in kpop are harder to find than winning the lottery

Vocal range = highest note - lowest note. That makes Irene one of the best kpop vocalists by your logic, because she has the highest note ever sung by an idol, and most female idols are sopranos so there is not much different in the low note part.
No, it's not about range, it's about what can they do within that range, whether they can execute proper technique. Minzy and debut Bom are just skiller than all BM members in this regard.
And talking about all-rounder, BM need a group to cover each department but Minzy alone is a certificated all-rounder. She is both YG's best female vocalist (not count Big Mama) and best female dancer, her rapping is not bad.

Babymonster and its not even close.
Honestly I have never seen a girlgroup as talented as Babymonster at debut. They just have been let down by YG's song choices

Byul is not an ACE, that's Wheein, because she can do everything on a high live, Byul is an All-rounder who can do everything on an average level at least. At this moment, I don't think I could name another ACE because for that I need to do more research.
For all-rounders, I could name a few, but excluding rap for the same reason you mentioned. So let's include stage presence instead or overall performance.
Pretty much everyone in MMM and NMIXX, at least half the Babymon group, some PURKI members, Seulgi, BoA, I think we could say, SNSD's Hyo, Sooyoung and maybe Yuri also, Summi and Yubin from Wonder Girls, CL in her prime, I think Soyeon also deserve this title, and maybe Yuqi as well, Chungha, Sejeong, Dami, Siyeon from Dreamcatcher, my new nugu fave Mari from WiTCHX, and some others as well.
The list for All-rounders is pretty long if we include every gen.

What are you even talking about?
I literally said vocals skills are not only about high note. Not sure where did you read or heard that Irene sang the highest note by an Idol, but it's definitely not true. Her range is not even that good.
Quotemost female idols are sopranos so there is not much different in the low note part.
Please, stop talking about vocals if you don't know anything about it. Being a soprano doesn't mean they can't be great with low notes.
QuoteNo, it's not about range, it's about what can they do within that range, whether they can execute proper technique.
At least this part is true.
QuoteCertificated all-rounder? By whom, you?
you wanna hear a real all-rounder?
Here, watch this! This how an ACE sounds like covering 3 different genres on spot. She's a Main Vocalist with much better flow than most official Kpop Idol rappers.

From this video, Irene's lowest note is B2, highest note is Bb6, that makes her only 1 semitone less to full 4 octaves.

There are only 2 other female kpop idols with 4 octaves: Eunji and Wendy.

QuoteBy most non fan.
It's not like both can't be all-rounders.
Minzy is definitly NOT top 10 vocalist but she's good enough to be main vocal material for most group. Her dance skill is top notch. Imagine an idol sing as good as Jessica and dance as good as Hyoyeon.
In the rap departement tbh most idols are not good so she's still fit.

Holy Jesus Mother of Christ or whatever. Can't believe your argument is a fan made video. 🤣
I don't think I've EVER heard a Kpop Idol hitting B2 or Bb6, and let's say you're right, just because you sing the note, doesn't mean you did it properly, btw. You can reach a note, but if you didn't do it correctly, it's NOT IN YOUR RANGE!
You're basically saying, Irene is at the same level as Sohyang. Don't be ridiculous.
This is Wendy's range, btw! You know, the MAIN vocalist of Red Velvet and one of the best female vocalist in Korea! Meanwhile Irene is just a SUB-VOCALIST!
