Hidden Gems #825: She's My Girl by F.I.X

You can really feel the emotion of the main vocalist coming through, especially at the start. I also really like how they integrated the rap in this song. It feels very natural and fits the concept of the song very well (almost like two personalities). I say this as a gg stan where rapping feels like an afterthought most of the time.

Speaking of the song's concept, it's absolutely psychotic. Not in a bad way - I like dark art - but after watching the video, I looked up the lyrics, and the main character is absolutely unhinged. There aren't many songs about crazy stalkers so I do think it's cool that it exists.

Showing what he imagines things will be like with her vs what it's actually like after he "catches" her is pretty deep and really good storytelling. I think they did great work with the video. I also love the stand-in-place moonwalk move at 2:32.

I could only find Please Don't Say when I looked for other songs. They're both good, but I like this one better.
