Man, the majority of Onces are fucking disgusting.

I think the issue is beyond just any specific fandom. When it comes to these successful groups, there will always be a huge section of the fandom that prioritizes charts even at the expense of idols' well-being. They will even sacrifice their favs' desires and needs if it means there's a boost in charting.
You'll see them being vocal, but I still do not believe they deserve to represent the fandom. We need people like keyboardwarrior7 and emanresu representing the fandom because they don't care about charts. They love and appreciate the members in the purest and most genuine way you could ever imagine.
I think charts took away some K-pop fans' soul and moral compass. I will once again say charts are the root of all evil.

I should have mentioned. Water_oWl and Twicegraphy are also pure-hearted ONCE who represent the fandom well!
Maybe, just maybe, StelloMomoDay as well.

I have no hand in this argument other than this observation:
It always comes down to the classic "idol company hostage situation" where if you boycott the company, the idols don't get paid, but if the idols get all sales otherwise, the boycott failed anyways.I wonder if there is some sort of way to contribute 100% directly (not even majority split from sales) to idols and their groups.
Also: Disclaimer: I'm broke. so I can't buy albums for the foreseeable future (next few years) I can only give lip service online or full time stream and restream their songs for ad revenue.

Thanks ! But I am not pure-hearted ! Sometimes, I get really angry at users
but yes, i think it is wrong that some are trying to tell other people who do care about the vcha issue not to care
Honestly this Trying to shame others over Twice hardwork for trying to raise awareness on abuse issues ? They are completely out of touch with reality

It's not just onces. Most kpop fandoms act this way, as sad as it is.
-
They don't view their idols as people - not even Twice, the idols they claim to love more than anyone else.
If they truly loved Twice, they would've noticed what they have been struggling with things in the realm of eating disorders.
They would've declared solidarity - not just for Twice, but for every idol who has gone through this and still is.
why even watch Kpop? I would make the claim that most Kpop idols have some eating disorder at some point in their career. The industry as a whole promotes that style, the fans promote that style. Fans literally fat shame idols all the fucking time. It's not like the industry does this independently. If fans wanted bigger idols and supported that more then companies would push that. At some point fans have to look in a mirror and understand their own role in pushing this shit.

I believe the absurdity is people trying to connect a comeback with a legal issue within the company. It's those idiots that bring out the idiocracy in others. This are separate things and issues.
-
i mean honestly if some people don't care about this issue and care more about twice's comeback i see no problem with that. you can't force people to care about things, or try to morally police them into it.
but yes, i think it is wrong that some are trying to tell other people who do care about the vcha issue not to care
I second this comment.
No one has the rights to morally police others into supporting KG by boycotting JYP acts. Most of these fans don't even support/dont know VCHA in the first place
Let those who want to support/boycott do their own decision

Not over charts, but they have some... "interesting" views regarding women that are eyebrow worthy

I have never once looked at a chart. I just enjoy their music and personalities, and want them to be happy and healthy. I'm even coming around on the Megan feature because I don't want to have any negative thoughts about anything related to Twice. It's nice that it introduces them to others so they can enjoy them too.
I won't shame anyone for doing what they think is right.
