who has the most hits? 65
-
twice (51) 78%
-
gidle (13) 20%
-
tie (1) 2%
It's not even a competition.
should've chosen a group that debuted the same year as idle instead of a former natl gg that started earlier
Across their careers?
Twice
#1 is a bit too restrictive I feel. If we define a "hit" as a song that achieved a top 20 placement on the Circle/Gaon Digital Chart, then we have the following:
Twice (16 songs)
Like Ooh-Ahh
Cheer Up
TT
Signal
Likey
Heart Shaker
What Is Love?
Dance the Night Away
Yes or Yes
Fancy
Feel Special
More & More
I Can't Stop Me
Alcohol-Free
Talk That Talk
(G)I-dle (15 songs)
Latata
Hann
Senorita
Lion
Dumbi Dumdi
Hwaa
Tomboy
Nxde
Queencard
Allergy
all 9 of Twice's Circle numbers ones were legit hits that were everywhere when they were released, none of them were one week download boosted #1s that fell 90 plus spots the next week like some of these bg #1s these days. And LOAA and Fancy were legit big hits too. So 11 real hits.
(G)I-DLE has their four #1s and then Klaxon was legit pretty popular too. But if a song like Latata or Hann counts as a hit then definitely More and More, Feel Special, and Alcohol Free on Twice's side would count as hits too. Not to mention Twice has several songs that were big hits in Japan or popular internationally like The Feels. So I think it's easily Twice right now, but ofc (G)I-DLE debuted much later than Twice and really became an A-list group like 4 years into their career as opposed to like 7 months in for Twice.
I'm going to guess....... Twice.
The Twice disrespect on this forum is getting out of hand. Idle doesn't even deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as Twice
Twice.

Of course they shouldn't be in the same sentence. Idle has three female composers who work with synthesizers: That means their success is all theirs. Twice is totally dependent on the company's money. In terms of vocals, half of Twice are very questionable singers. While in Idle only Shuhua is not a strong vocalist. In terms of success you should expect Idle to have many more PAK's than Twice in the next few years. Currently each group has 4. And not to mention other numbers that will be surpassed in the next 2 years.
Is this a serious question?

Wow, they work with synthesizers. Very impress. Much inspire.
If you think Shuhua is the only member of (G)I-dle who isn't a strong vocalist, I have a bridge to sell you. Nice and sturdy. Definitely under my ownership.
