They are charting just fine? Sheesh hit top 10 on melon and Drip peaked at #54. Is it better than QWER who happen to have 2 good songs? No. YT charts tell an entirely different story, where Drip is top 10. But they are charting WELL enough in their own country + internationally to accumulate 1.5m album sales and sell out KSPO Dome pre-sales in 8 minutes. So quite frankly idgaf about the Melon charts because it's quite clear BABYMONSTER is the most successful 5th gen group.

We won't truly know until the gen concludes, but when it comes to the 4th gen people are warming up to the idea that it began with aespa, rather than in 2019 with groups like ITZY and EVERGLOW, who were largely overshadowed by 3rd gen. I might even argue that the 4th gen truly started with IVE, after all 4th gen's DNA is heavily rooted in the 2022 rookie class:

they see not hope in korea promo, so they need to make the money back. Touring will keep them out of korea, which will decrease their visibility and fandom that will lead to even more poor charting
he did the same to treasure and to all their groups, the thing is yg could chart BEFORE (winner, ikon, bp) so they survive but constant touring and less visibility affected winner and ikon (bp is save bc they are anomaly in every sense bc how u still gets fans with 32 songs)

Babymonster has quality music, by the way. Kpop fans just don't care. Batter up, Sheesh, Like That are very good songs. In my eyes, the success of a band is not measured only by the Melon chart. I doubt that a band that sold out Kspo in 8 minutes has only blinks fandom.
