NewJeans have a contract with ADOR not HYBE. Just like BTS has a contract with BIG HIT, not HYBE. And yes it is bullshit.

How many times have you seen an artist speak out against their company? In the few cases that has happened, where are the artists now?

NewJeans decided to speak out and look how much backlash they are getting. Now their careers are possibly going to be ruined BECAUSE they spoke out.

I'm not saying that one shouldn't speak up for themselves but they need to make sure they are in a secure position to do so.

Look at MHJ for example. She publicly went against HYBE without considering how much in financial trouble she could get in. One has to be careful and calculated if you're going against such a big corporation.

They might be in a secure position to do so but it is never that easy. Literally all of their career, they have been associated with Big Hit/HYBE (Big Hit is now closely associated with HYBE).

Whether or not they denounce HYBE, they will still be closely associated so that wouldn't mean anything.

Take the thing with TOP for example. He smoked marijuana YEARS ago and you still have certain knetizens yapping about what he did.
