Mhj outsings all of yg entertainment combined
Rapping is one of kpop inherent characteristics, the fact it is made by people who in most cases in previous generations were taught to rap, added to the weirdness of its inclusion and to one of the reasons people were so reluctant to listen to it. Removing it will make kpop less kpop and will leave a good number of idols jobless. But since kpop has been increasingly diluting into mainstream music as time goes by, it could as well be the next step: remove rap from pop songs, even if it is pretty common in Western pop these days.
In the case of hip hop centered groups, no I wouldn't like to see them gone.
As to Korean hip hop artists, I'd vote to keep them. Some of them are really good.

Bro your goddes doesn't sing she does freestyle raps, you should be supporting rap here.
id be slightly bothered
but ill live
I think it bring diversity to kpop and I would miss it a bit if it was totally removed.
BUT..... I also believe it's overused today. It's feels like all groups are puting some kind of "rap breaks" in their songs and I kind of miss the older pure catchy pop without any rapping.
Kpop would be a lot better. The rap in most songs ruin it
I would do without rap being an obligation though. It's not for everyone.
A lot of my favorite Kpop songs have great rap verses, and it can add a lot, but I agree with lidora, in that I wish it wasn't obligatory. Some songs don't need rap, and just feels thrown in just because. And some groups have a rap line where I would prefer if they just sang. A lot of them are even better singers than rappers.
i would be thrilled, bannish it all
I've encountered songs where it was unnecessary and songs where it enhanced it. I also stan strictly ballad groups who make great music without the use of rap parts. IMO it wouldn't matter to me if it disappeared completely or not, groups can still release great upbeat music without any rap parts or even slower music.
It always surprises me when rappers of a group comes out with amazing vocals like why were you hiding this?! A great example of this is Cravity. I never knew Serim could sing like he can or even Allen. Hongjoong of Ateez amazing rapper but he has such a beautiful vocal range.
