Red velvet choice is actually the most logical one, why would they want to quit one of the biggest agency of entertainement in korea

To go sign in a small label who might be able to push them for 2-3 cb and then probably struggle to have enough money to give them a quality comeback

A company who doesn't have any influential to give them enough exposure and promotion to increase their brand value on the entertainement industry

As for shinee members and exo they still have groups contract with SM

Only individual contract are with other agency and it's pretty understandable for them to also left SM

Onew and Taemin grew up in SM, they are almost approaching their 20th years in SM so it was pretty normal for them to think that they already did everything they needed to do with SM and SM already gave them what they could give them

And it was time for them to try new challenges and discover something new

What's weird is the fact that you are actually thinking it's a weird thing

Would it be weird for a model working for Hermes or channel to not want to renew their contract to go work for a company like Walmart ?

RV are successful and popular, but they are better with sme rather than trying to adventure in a smaller company when I don't think they have a big enough solo fb to keep them without worries for some years and with RV they can tour, have big album sales and try individual activities like revelus are still pretty much an active fandom.

Which isn't the case for female idols and GG who heavily rely on GP support and attention, you don't get this being in a small company or they wouldn't be as many idols gg than there is now

And if you look closely even the SNSD members who left SM did it to pursue an acting career

While all the SNSD members who pursue a music career stay in SM (taeyeon and hyoyeon)

The exact same thing happen with f(x)

Sulli left for an acting career, then krystal and victoria

Only amber and Luna stay in SM for a while because they wanted to pursue a singing career

They both had some kind of attention with their solo career there

And the moment they left they fell down and nobody is talking about them anymore cuz they just don't have the influence and relations to promote their name and get their face everywhere for people to see them
