That apart, Kpop is a big deal only to its not inconsiderable fandom. But it is extremely difficult for it or any non-English/non-Spanish act to reach any IP i.e. the international public, casual listener.

Language remains a barrier.

That's the advantage Lady Gaga and likes will have.

English is the lingua franca, and whatever Kpop can try Dynamite or Butter, is not going to matter to Ambani or Olympic Committee.

People must stop pretend that kpop is something big in the rest of the world outside the kpop bubble. Sure sure, among the youth maybe it have it place. But among people +25? I mean, sure I'm +40 and know about kpop and some artists, but that is not the normal. People maybe have heard and read about kpop, but they don't know any arists or have ever listen to kpop, or maybe they have on radio or something without knowing it.

Kpop arist should happy if they are allowed to performe in their own Olypmpics as CL did.

Supposing Olympics happens in S. Korea, then also there will be a major English components in addition to Korean.

But when it happens in Anglo-sphere, there will be only English acts.
