All members of Stray Kids renewed contract with JYP Entertainment

Given that they just announced a big tour, renewal of their contract was expected but we finally got an official statement from JYPE.

I'm not even slightly surprised, I knew and I have been saying for months they would renew/renewed this year. They have been giving multiple hints, even wrote a song that gives this message and is about to be released together alongside other 'Ate' songs.

I'm so happy as a fan, to be able to see them together for a longer a time, because I love them a lot and for them who most likely negotiated better deals and a better split over their revenue. As a group who is responsible for so much over their career and has so much credits over their success, It felt unfair they were still in their rookie contracts when half of the group were minors were was signed.

Seems like JYPE have finally reached the stage where their groups are willing to stay as a group, and not move on elsewhere. That's a good achievement

Nope. 2PM renewed in 2015 for the first time. Also, not a boygroup, but a male band: DAY6 also renewed back in 2022.
