If you called the shots at Hybe, how would you salvage the current... situation?

  • If you need context for the "situation", you can visit the Hybe/MHJ Mega Thread that chronicles the biggest story in K-Pop this year.

Put your executive caps on for this thread. If you had the power to resolve the Hot water Hybe finds themselves in, how would you use it?

  • Yama-Chan

Changed the title of the thread from “If you called the shots at Hybe, how would you salvage the current... situation” to “If you called the shots at Hybe, how would you salvage the current... situation?”.
  • give ador all independance so they can promote and do their business in peace.

(and of course keep mhj and get ride of the 5% and non compete close)

and turn hybe into a more kakao type of parent compagny.

diversify producers so similar content wont be released between sub labels.

Bang would produce, but only in big hit (bg) or soumu (gg).

  • Our stance is that we hide the important evidences necessary only for the court to review, and we usually just give out some piece of info to the public so that the full picture isn't revealed. We do this because sometimes, our enemies spit out information that could make them guilty or go fury when standing their grounds. It's done to make them put on edge, even if it isn't beneficial to us.

Moving forward, we will fire MHJ & Co on May 31st and focus on repairing our image by donating to some great causes out there. We will stand with our artists, and give all the support necessary. We will also restructure our entire label system so that another incident like it won't occur. Furthermore, we will make sure to give our most affected artists such as NewJeans, Le Sserafim, Illit a grand comeback that can overblow the current issues.

We want to also convey that NewJeans being the older sister group to Le Sserafim doesn't sound right image wise. The order of debut LSF>NJ>ILLIT is perfect in our image. If any of you think NJ image as a big senior group over Le Sserafim make sense, I say you go consult a professional, especially to MHJ.

  • I would fucking fire everyone. i mean EVERYONE (not the groups though)

then explain to bts they now own everything :meme-elmo-fire: and while they are enlisted WOOZI is going to do damage control.

  • This is way longer than it needs to be but I'm bored and waiting for my takeout that's late so here's my crack at it :spammerpepe:

    • modify MHJ's original contract so there are clearer terms regarding the length of the non-compete (a year with pay)
    • resolve the issue of conspiracy and confidentiality breaches
      1. If she did leak confidential information and plotted to sell, negotiate before it goes to trial with an offer to remain artistic director or njwns, but stepping as the CEO with completely restricted access to company data. The tradeoff is no jail time, fines, or no criminal record.
      2. If she didn't leak anything, Co-CEOs where both could have an equal share of ador shares and offer a higher percentage of shares (35-65 most likely, but maaaybe 40-60) as well as some sort of contingency for MHJ that this will not happen again unless there's proof and even then it will be handled the way it should have been (privately).
    • Find someone good at PR and if Hybe was in the wrong, look into sealing the court records (not sure of the exact laws in Korea, but trade secrets are sometimes enough to seal a case from the public), have MHJ sign an NDA (put that in the agreement for more shares and protection against trying to give her the boot again), and release a bullshit statement about the sealing of the case due to trade secrets and reaching an amicable solution due to valuing MHJ as a CEO as well as some nonsense about handling this improperly and learning going forward.
    • Keep Illit focused on Japan for a little longer as that has always been the group's target audience and they're being well received there. Their next domestic comeback would either lean more into the gamer aspect of their concept, or towards the darker side of their lore, but regardless it would have to be something a little more distinct from new jeans altogether. Maybe release a statement about it, but honestly why even address it unless it's directly brought up again?
    • Send lsfm on another tour outside of Korea. Hire a vocal coach and then drop a few videos or have a member do a live where they mention receiving some vocal coaching as ppl often respect effort being made even if the improvement isn't great (it also has the effect of making you look worse when you drag people who are visibly trying to improve b/c they've made the acknowledgment that said skill isn't the best).
    • Take a page out of SM's book and establish Hybetown (by a different name), so that there's a stronger image of legacy and "family" (even though they are just coworkers doing their job)
    • Pay dispatch to drop a scandal about another group so that the attention is taken off of them
  • I don't think I should say anything, because people can't handle my opinions anyway.🤣

But it's pretty obvious, disbanding the lazy and untalented groups, especially if they don't want to learn to sing and creating music, fire everyone who don't know what's important, and then HYBE will be a good company. For the record, I would the same at every other company. After BTS became big, HYBE forgot what's important and why they became big. BTS is not my fave groups, but they were 100% about real music and not about being on the top every time.

  • I don't think you would want me running hybe. I would literally immediately disband all the groups. Sell all the unnecessary companies and just keep the small handful of visuals and vocalists and debut them in a new group. :meme-elmo-fire::meme-elmo-fire::meme-elmo-fire:

Yeah you're right. Stay away. Same for David33

Stop trying to disband my current gen favs. There would be civil war if that happened, and I would be at the vanguard :pepe-firing:

Beautiful. Let's get you into power right now. This is the kind of vision Hybe needs, but they seem determined to go down the pathetically petty path.
