Who are your five most popular active K-Pop groups in the world right now?

For once, I'm not limiting this to girl groups. Keep in mind that this is active groups, so BTS, for example, would not be included (Yes, we all know they're still the most popular group in the world--let's just get that out the way now).

BLACKPINK hasn't released new music in two years, and I see zero indication that we'll see new music from them in 2024, so that would make close to a three year hiatus. That's enough for me to consider them inactive.

This is actually kind of hard for my personal list. NewJeans is easy to figure out, but the other four are difficult.

I'll observe what other people's lists look like, for groups like Stray Kids, Seventeen, etc.

I could not decide between Stray Kids and Seventeen, so I just picked one randomly.

I know Seveteen is much bigger in Korea digitally, but Stray Kids is killing it in the west.

I also didn't know what to do with NCT

I think by sheer population those would be the top 5. The World means the entire world - so that means including China. If you include China and certain groups popularity that's the top 5 above I get.

Of the currently active group I think it would be G- Idle and Xdinary Heroes. I'm far from stanning any ot them but they are the ones I like a little from active groups.
