I don't have any specific songs as I don't know which two songs will be the perfect comparison for this situation. Yet, I wonder which type of success is more significant, the song with the highest 24-hour ULs or the song with the highest cumulative ULs.
Which song is more successful, the one with the highest 24 hours ULs or the one with the highest cumulative ULs?

The one with highest ULs peak.
Cumulative ULs can be the same users streaming the same song everyday while 24h uls is just initial hype, the least important as some hits take time to grow and other songs can tank after 24 hours. ULs peak mean the biggest amount of different ppl listening to the same song.
Uls peak > cumulative uls > 24h uls
Actually BigBang had the biggest ULs last year but Love Dive was the soty
So idk I guess its a combination of both, without longevity, peak isnt important, but without peak, longevity isnt impressive.

I mean Hype Boy didn't had those still become biggest 4th gen song so longevity and cumulative numbers are important.

Whatever Hype Boy did is what matters most, because it's so popular that 200 industry insiders/experts in Korea chose it as SOTY for both 2022 and 2023, not to mention it spent nearly an entire year inside the Melon Top 10.
UL peaks are good indicators of short term and immediate interest, but the duration of the song at or near the top is what matters most.
If you disagree, then Yes I Am was the biggest girl group song of 2017.

High cumulative numbers.
example: i listened to babymonster's batter up. Do i like the song? No. Am i going to listen to it again? No. My ul is useless. I was curious and listened to it. And then i moved on.

UL peaks definitely show the popularity of a group. But the one weakness of it is that it is clearly relative to the time period of release. ULs seem to be falling precipitously this year, we're talking huge decreases on a month to month basis. 250k now is equivalent to 500k early this year, 600k last year, and 700k in 2021.
Top 100 longevity is also useful but it's prone to abuse by big fandoms. I'd rather have a song with huge UL peaks than have a song hanging around #78 for years, one shows GP relevance, the latter shows dedicated fan cult favorites.
Maybe the best compromise measure is number of weeks in the top 10 of Melon Weekly. Melon Weekly is easily the most difficult chart in all of Korea, you're going against every trendy and popular act in Korea in every genre. You cant be a flash in the pan either, that song has to have true GP acceptance to stay 20 weeks in the top 10. And your fandom cant carry you in the top 10 forever.

Cumulative of course
Savage had a biggest 24hours ul than hype boy and absolutely nobody would consider savage bigger than hype boy
Because on the long run hype boy completely surpassed savage

The cumulative ULs you are referring to here, are the unique listeners counted once in a lifetime? Or cumulative is affected by fandom stream?

IMO the first 24 hours unique listeners indicate strong group/artist recognition and interest while the highest cumulative unique listeners indicate public reception of the song. In an ideal scenario having both is what everyone should want but in the long run longevity matters more. It means fans and gp alike knows and listen to their song regardless of how trendy an act is or isn't.
