For me it shows she never gives up and will always strive to be the best. She shows its ok to not win all the time and you can be upset, but don’t let that drag you down and make you abandon your dreams. Sakura has an admirable personality and I think she is an excellent role model with what she has been through.

Well because not like she's in the position of really unknown nugu idols that keep trying but will always fail like Huh Chanmi. She's doing fine and always on the top but only never become the number 1. That's all. As I said above, she works hard and I follow her long before she become a korean idol. It's some inside joke within her old fans.
I'm sure she doesn't lose sleep over being the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th most popular member in her group. It's not like there's blatant favourtism in lesserafim.

Sakura won't be number 1 in Korea because she's japanese also Chaewon is definitely much more allrounders member. But Sakura is definitely the visual and face of the group she's still very popular. Being second not the worst thing. 
I'm not surprised by Chaewon, she's very alluring and talented on stage. Also she's the most stable vocalist. 
I'm surprised Eunchae is the 3rd most popular member overall. Kazuha is last. Yunjin is ranked 4th and Sakura is generally ranked 2nd except Japan.
