Well, all of the HYBE artists that won are the biggest K-pop acts right now, so it's not a surprise that HYBE is (sadly) dominating the whole industry and leaving no room for other groups. It's not Hybe's fault per se, but they do have the most resources and $$$ to make all their groups under their label mega successful. What can other labels really do? They just have to work on making their newer groups better than HYBE's groups so they can compete fairly with them. Eventually, it will get boring if it's the same groups winning over and over again.

I think what Hype does right is concentrate on getting s lot of different producers and writers that makes their songs different. Other companies look at the idols first. Which while not necessary bad, but if you have 4 groups and only one producer/writer all the songs tend to song the same. Which then overshadows great vocals.

Album shoulda gone to LSRFM or Ive - they had the best overall albums. Song of the Year shoulda gone to I AM, the best charting and longest lasting song of the year. I am fine with NJ as Artist of the Year.

Not surprised. HYBE hit the lottery with BTS and said to secure this for eternity, let's become a monopoly by buying out everyone else, which is what they are doing and why they have seventeen etc. BTS is awesome and HYBE understands that alot of it was luck. If there was a "BTS formula" everyone would have recreated it by now. After BTS hit it big every agency big and small literally poured millions in research dollars$$ into finding this "formula " and found zip zilch nada. Alot of factors go into a group being successful and becoming mega ultra star. Talent/hardwork only accounts for 10% of it. If hard work alone was the deciding factor 90% of industry would have hit that already
